Online earning in five ways
I have been a part of the internet for almost 30 years. And I never thought I’d find myself earning money online. When I got serious about my freelance work, it wasn’t until I started freelancing that I realized I could finally quit working at big companies. Now, when most working adults are out of their jobs, they take some time to look into their options. They may also take a vacation or go on business trips for one reason or another. Working online is such an amazing way to make a living and start your own business. You can travel all over while still doing what you love while still being paid when you want to take a break.
In this post, I will share with you five ways I earn passive income so you can decide if this is right for you. Some of these jobs require little to no work at all but all of them pay well enough to be considered passive income. There are other ways to get your side hustle moving without having to leave your day job. These include selling old stuff or buying secondhand items you don’t use anymore. If you’ve ever struggled to make ends meet because of high rent, there is now a new opportunity for you to make some extra cash.
You can still do anything you like as long as you have a computer, Internet connection, and have an updated version of Windows or Mac OS. Whether searching through ebay finds rare goods from an online treasure hunt or selling items you don’t use, you can make passive income online in several different ways. Your income depends solely on how many people that buy your products or services actually need your product or service. Let's learn more now!
1) Affiliate Marketing
There you go folks! This is something you can do any type of business. It is definitely not low-risk if you take your time to build up your brand and trust. All you need to start is an Amazon affiliate account. To choose which products you’ll sell on Amazon, you just need to make sure they are available online. A great thing about Amazon is that you won’t charge fees or anything if someone doesn’t order from you. However, Amazon is a huge market so you can be very competitive for many years. For example, let’s say I am selling skincare products. The first step of becoming an Amazon affiliate is to create an account. I will need to provide you with links to each of our reviews. Then you create a list of products you will sell. From there, select those products you want to offer on Amazon.
Once you start offering on Amazon you will have your website up and running in less than two hours. At this point, you might be thinking “Is there really nothing else like this? I’m too much, you should stop selling”. But let’s think again…
Although we may have some competition, here in the beginning… I hope to keep growing the amount I choose to sell. Each week or month, I check Amazon a lot and review a bunch of brands I might like. Once I have enough products to fill my blog, you guys can read.
It's important to be persistent and grow over the next few months. After the initial six months when I was starting to see growth, I was able to sell 100s more products before switching to Amazon again. So if you really want to be successful, start small and then take advantage of a growth plan as soon as possible.
2) Starting a YouTube Channel
YouTube is an incredible platform to monetize your videos and to grow your brand. It is free to start from zero and anyone can use the site. Google AdSense is a very good way to make a bit of passive income while Youtube makes no cost. If you have a good following, google AdSense is there. The easiest method of making videos is using Canva, which has tons of templates to help you make videos. It comes pretty cheap and you can use it on every video you make. Of course, there’s always Instagram, Pinterest, and Youtube and you can even have custom videos. With that said, the videos are going to be promoting yours or will be promoted.
There are lots of ways you can create ads, videos and other promotional materials on youtube. I’ve written an article about How to Make Passive Income on Youtube. Here is an example: https://youtu.be/V3DQf4l0A
3) Running Paid Advertising Campaigns
You can run advertising campaigns on medium.com, ad.guru, AdKidd, Mediavine, etc… to promote various affiliate programs and make passive income. My favorite sites are AdKidd, AdKidd USA, Mediakix, and AdKidd Europe. Just sign up to all of these and use an affiliate program to add links to your website to run sponsored ads.
The easiest way to make money is to start small and then grow organically by promoting these sites as content and selling your own webinar. If you have trouble getting leads due to SEO issues (i.e. too many advertisements on certain keywords), then don't worry. We have affiliate marketing resources that will teach you everything you need to know regarding improving your rank without using ad networks. Plus, using Google AdWords is easy and affordable if you want to start making money today.
4) Dropshipping Businesses
You can drop ship small companies and receive orders directly from them. Companies then ship their stock down to you. That means you get a royalty. Or if you run your own store, then you have a storefront. You can either sell a single item or stock larger quantities throughout the year. Either way, it is a great way to make passive income. I will talk about dropshippers later on in this article.
5) Sell Clothes
If you’re handy with a sewing machine then selling clothes is a good choice for you. You need to start small and figure things out as you go. As I mentioned before, I’m trying to keep my profit coming so here we go...
Selling your clothing can take a toll on you with your body. I personally tried selling my skin and found I had to lose a ton of weight. Luckily my husband has made me a full-time clothes line that was surprisingly good. He wanted me to join his company so I did and it was very hard for me to quit. Luckily I found a Facebook group where I met some really nice women who were willing to sell their clothes. That helped. Many women would trade advice but sometimes you have to tell them that if you’re struggling through something as hard then you probably shouldn’t give up. I have some pieces of advice that worked with me if you’re looking to sell clothes for profit.
